Cafe Gude in Wiesbaden

Here you can find the best cake in Wiesbaden. We already had several pies and cakes from this coffee and were never disappointed. The first cake from this house was our wedding cake and it was gigantic. Since then we have been guests there several times. Conclusion after several pies and cakes: Absolutely recommendable!

Got our wedding cake there. It was delicious, but there was a mistake in the label.

For every occasion we order the cakes from Café Gude with the filling "New Yorker cheesecake" The cakes could look a little better ? but they taste very good!

Nicely done place at a decent location. The service was rather not nice (it’s never nice when you serve with a grumpy face ‘?’). It is the year 2020, but they had not a single cake/confection/baked item without egg or was vegan; nor did the staff have the necessary knowledge. As a result, even though it’s in my vicinity (5-7 min walking distance), it remains inconspicuous for me if ever I wish to grab a coffee and cake.

Unfortunately, no trace of service friendliness. The café opens at 10:00 a.m. you stand outside the door, it doesn't open a minute earlier, rather five minutes later, not exactly customer-oriented. Everything takes forever to buy cakes because the service tries to organize everything at once instead of handling a customer first. The cake is badly wrapped in paper, a shame because for the prices I would like quality wrapped pieces! There are probably some addresses that customers say goodbye more satisfied!

Quality good but with a hidden price increase! Reasonable prices for really delicious handmade cakes - sure, why not, but if the size no longer fits the price but varies every time, then it is outrageous. The pieces have become noticeably smaller in recent years, as a regular customer you think ok, everything will be more expensive and I like to pay for quality and confectionery skills. If the size of the already smaller pieces then varies from week to week - especially since the customer previously cut a much larger piece from the same cake by the colleague and another customer also - then you ask about it, especially since 3 , 95 € or 4.95 € for a piece of cake / tart are already tight. A casual and indifferent answer such as the pieces are "actually" pre-marked is then sufficient. We have been regular customers here for many years, but we do not continue to support such customer relationships!

Coffee and cake with the family on Sundays is traditional with us in Cafe Gude. There is something for everyone and after the great renovation, it is no longer that narrow at the entrance. It's bright and even friendlier.

I ordered a Black Forest cake piece. When the servant cut the piece, I thought he would cut his fingers. I never got a smaller piece of cake than this shop. The piece was as narrow as a standard AAA battery. Incomprehensible who buys in this shop. Feel cheated for an equally outrageous price.

Quality is right, but unfortunately no longer service and prices. As usual, the cakes and pies are consistently delicious. However, the sizes of the pieces vary enormously, which of course represents a hidden increase in the price of the product. In general, the staff often does not have an overview of the prices. Perhaps this is also because there are no price tags in the display. All in all, you get the feeling that the café is geared towards "one-time customers". I.e. it doesn't matter whether the customer comes back or not. Probably because there is still a leap of faith due to the good quality. - Unfortunately, that can change very quickly ... especially in times of Corona ...

We got our wedding cake from Cafe Gude. It was just super delicious, exactly as we wanted it and it wasn't heavy on the stomach. We had America Cheescake, Jamaican Rum and Raspberry and our guests loved it. The cake was implemented exactly as requested. Price-performance ratio is great here!

One of my favorite cafés in Wiesbaden. A bit out of the way (for Wiesbaden in general), but for me it's almost "around the corner". Very good pies and cakes, friendly and quick service (the latter has improved significantly compared to the past). And after the last renovation, the interior was also nicer, more modern and more spacious.

We were there quite early, preferably shortly after 2 p.m., then you will definitely get a nice seat outside! I was there for the first time after the renovation, everything looks very bright and friendly! You can now pay by ATM, I think it's a great idea, you see it very often now! The cakes, cakes, coffee and cappuccino tasted very good! The staff were very friendly! We will come back more often in the future! The conversion has definitely been successful!

I bought cakes every week for around € 12. Last time I was at the counter. Apparently a buddy came in behind me. It was served before me. If bros are more important, then I'm not one of them. There are other good pastry shops too.

A quiet place where you can have cake and talk with your friends, the place is very nice and cozy, a variety of cakes and the staff is very friendly, serious and attentive. I love it

Best Cheese cake in town. And the rest of the cakes are just perfect. Always. Always again. Small inside. Mostly take away.
